To all concerned parties…

Instead of money and clothing being used up in admin fee’s, or sold. We are in the process of sponsoring some of the small communities of The Lockyer Valley; Withcott, Murphy’s Creek and Postman’s Ridge, through goods, clothing and monetary donation. We have therefore established a Community Support Fund. We have set up a bank account for donations called the “Common Ground Australia – Community Support Fund“, and have established a committee to administer the funds on our behalf, that will be available for the people of these communities, and the local environmental groups in the area.

Be assured that every cent received will be dispersed to those that need it.

Donation Bank Details

If you can make a donation of any form, and of any size it would be greatly appreciated. Please visit the Community Support Fund Facebook Page, where we will keep you updated as to what is going on, and where the generous funds are going.

As most of you would be aware some insurance policies do no not include coverage for flood.

In addition – below are some details for local collection points for clothes, linen and non-perishables etc that are in good condition, that we will take in as soon as we can.  We will get the clothing and household items into the area as soon as possible. In the next week we will also see what needs to be done out there, with a view to go in and help clean up.
