Taste, buds.
Words and Photos by Nigel Carboon

With such an abundant bounty of fresh, amazing produce & flavours in this region,  a festival to celebrate the taste of the Northern Rivers is an event that we have all had the good fortune of staging in our own kitchens regularly.

Saturday’s ‘Sample – a taste of Northern NSW’ was a similar epicurean show-off , on a much grander scale ( … and without having to do the washing up). Bangalow turned it on – they’re always such fine hosts – proudly boasting the culinary talents of regional farmers, restaurants, bakers, growers & food artisans.

Good vibes are always amplified by smooth sounds, happy families, sunshine and phenomonal food.  ‘Sample’ had all the ingredients, literally.

You can see more tastes of Bangalow on the CG Bangalow Facebook page.

Nigel has spent more than half his life behind the lens. Following a career in the film industry styling costumes and art directing, Nigel returned to his native Melbourne to study photography at RMIT and shoot a couple of years in studios there. Craving clean air and desirable ƒ-stops, he gravitated to Byron Bay, where he now finds himself behind the lens at SkuffTV.
